Tonight is First Friday Night Art Walk in downtown Springfield.  This painting is one of the ten paintings that I presently have being displayed in the Women Artist of the Midwest Exhibition at Hawthorn Gallery.  This one has been previously posted, but since I've recently been painting the abstract florals and it's art walk tonight..... and it's a favorite... I thought... well enjoy!

Contemporary Modern Abstract

I am so excited to be back painting on the large canvases. As I was working on this one it reminded me of another painting of mine titled Vibrant that recently sold. Not only is there a merging of the abstract and representational here, but a merging of techniques. I used Golden acrylics in this one with more of a watercolor approach to it. The colors are vibrant and vivid!!
