Just a bit of color to brighten up your day! I've been painting in this sort of a style lately and it seems to feel so natural and me. Perhaps it's the mixture of the realistic and abstract coming together. I love the bright colors. Also, I've been feeling much more confident and bolder in how I use color. Maybe too much!? eh
This is the last one that I have planned to take to the show. It's going to get framed today along with Embrace, both of which were painted from local irises. I feel as if the style I'm feeling comfortable with and enjoying is beginning to emerge. Too bad it's here at the end of having done all this work for this show. But, hey I'm now looking at it as a new beginning for the next one.
I'm going to take some time and continue this style on some small panels, using flowers, fruit and objects from home. At least that is the plan for now. Then I will be using them to set up a new Etsy shop, or sell off my blog or however other way I can market them. Also, I would like to continue to work on my large pure abstract paintings. The last one I finished is still drying. I will post it soon (next). I promise. It's the red, green and yellow and combos of- I love it!! and will share soon. The inspiration for it came from a comment - Thank you Kendra. Enjoy today's colors!!
