Nuance, Contemporary Abstract Painting, Original Art, Elizabeth Chapman

'Nuance'
Acrylic on 24" x 30" x 1.5" canvas

Sold...thanks!!

Another gessoed over painting.... a new painting over an older one.  If you care to look and see what it was before I also kept the title the same with this and could be found in the search.  Amazingly, the title not only suits this one but is perfect. Nuance: subtle changes in tone.  Perhaps, the previous painting was just a stepping stone to this one.  Thank you, Bren for that insight!  This one will now need to be wired to hang as a vertical.

As I posted previously I have been feeling a need to change things up.  I've been feeling lately as if I was stuck in a rut....and so I am consciously attempting to step outside my box and try working with various other color palettes and approaches.  If your new to my site this painting is a much softer palette than what I have been using.  More of my colorful abstract paintings can be see on my website:

Dramatic difference with this one Elizabeth. It seems to speak of old world, subtle yet rich. The change in colour palette is certainly working for you, and the name fits perfectly. I did look up the original Nuance, what a radical difference but still with your signature touch.
