'Faith' Contemporary Abstract Painting

'Faith'
Acrylic on 24" x 30" x 1.5" gallery canvas
Available

Confession time.... I started this painting three weeks ago and did not touch it again until today.   It's true I have been in a creative slump lately.  Prior to this time I had put together three paintings in a week for a spur of the moment show I got asked to do.  Not bad, only this was done all the while babysitting our almost one year old grand daughter, Penelope.,    As an abstract expressionist painter there are so many unknowns in beginning a work.  When I first began this painting I was thinking about needing to just have faith that it would go as it was suppose to.  Well....three weeks later... and here it is.

On another note... I always look forward to Sunday nights, as our daughter Emma does the cooking.  Tonight we had curry lentils, home made bread and some really yummy peanut butter/chocolate truffles. These meals are what she uses for her blog From Scratch.

This is perfection. You've blended movement with structure beautifully here. It really is about trusting that He will express himself in and through our art if we just relax into the process. A slump? I'd say a well deserved pause as you reboot your creative energies. My hats off to you for being able to keep up with your grand-daughter little lone paint so wonderfully as well. So enjoy the pause and trust it will all flow again, soon :-)
