Sometimes the most beautiful paintings emerge from what I am thinking is truly going to be the biggest mess ever made.  This is a heavily textured palette knife painting. There was much paint going on without a glimpse of the direction it would take, but I was determined to continue working until a painting emerged.  Layer upon layer.... and then there it was!  In the end I turned my palette knife on it's side to create the lines that carry it through.  A beautiful mess! (my daughter)... sound familiar?!!

This is stunning, love the deeply layered textures. Your use of colour is gripping..I so appreciate your sharing about the process, it is a strange and equally wonderful mystery :-)
