I am so excited to be having  my paintings represented by a fine art gallery out of Houston, Texas.  Davis and Company will have their grand opening on March 29 and three of my paintings will now exclusively be offered by them.  We will be preparing these for shipment this week.

Have we had enough of winter yet? I have a completed painting on the easel that I have not been able to photograph outside yet because of the weather.  Sleet, freezing rain, snow and single digit temperatures here.  Perhaps in a few days I can get that done.   We've also had our grand daughter stay over her usual Thursday and Friday. Not complaining there as we have WONDERFUL times together and just as having been a stay at home mom, would not trade those times for anything. Needless to say…no painting. However, I have been commissioned to create a painting that will be given as a gift similar to Ultramod on a 40" x 40" canvas and will begin that one soon. Excited with the new opportunities.

We're at the tail end of this winter, temps going up tomorrow! Soon it will be bright and colorful outside.

For now you can go to my Web Gallery to see bright and colorful!

Enjoy your week.

This painting went through several distinct stages before this emerged...and I love it!! so, I stopped! Lots of surface texture as I was playing with the modeling paste again.

What's next?  Well, I have found myself being inspired by flowers lately and have been revisiting photos of flowers from years past.  The peonies are blooming!.... just got to capture a painting of those.  It has been a most wonderful Spring here in Missouri this year.  If you've ever visited my web gallery you would have noticed that I have several categories of abstract paintings.  My main focus is the large abstract paintings, but I also work with floral abstracts and there is also a heart series.   It is refreshing for me to work with these various categories.

Lately, I have been feeling inspired by flowers...

so, I will follow.....

stay tuned!
