out to sea......

..... a fun little challenge! This is a challenge that is posted every two weeks on the different strokes blog. Everybody is given the same photograph to work from and the results are so much fun..... it really is interesting to see what everyone comes up with. I can't say that I was totally happy with mine, but hey maybe next time. You'll have to scroll all the way down to see the original photograph. Check it out here.

Summer Vegetables

This painting was from a challenge I took up from a blog called Different Strokes from Different Folks. The artist who began this is Karin Jurick, a very talented and known painter. She presents the challenge with a photograph and then artists do their interpretations of it. You are also asked to try a different medium each time. I chose to do my first one with oil pastels, not a medium that I usually use. It is so interesting to see all the different interpretations.
