Delight, Contemporary Expressionistic Abstract Painting, Original Art, Elizabeth Chapman

"Delight"

Acrylic on 12" x 12" x 3/4" canvas
Palette Knife Painting

I am challenging myself to work with various different color schemes.  We'll see....   This had a light airy feel to it as I was painting with these colors and a palette knife.  It is a small abstract painting and could be hung as it is or popped into a ready made frame.  More abstracts can be seen at:

"Delight" Contemporary Floral Abstract by Elizabeth Chapman

'Delight'

SOLD

Contemporary Floral Abstract
Acrylic on 20" x 16" canvas

Definitely strayed from the original floral arrangement. This is a painting that I did over the weekend from some flowers that I had bought at the grocery store on our weekly Saturday morning excursion to Dillon's.  I've been finding flowers in the manager's special and bringing them home, arranging them to paint and then we also get a floral arrangement to enjoy!  Smell good too! I also took some great photos for future references, but I was thinking as I was working at how delightful it is to have real flowers to paint from.  It was this arrangement that I began with, but then somewhere about halfway through I departed from the more realistic version and found it to be quite the delight!!!  Enjoy-
