Ensconce, ORIGINAL Contemporary Abstract Painting by Elizabeth Chapman

'Ensconce'
Acrylic on 24" x 30" x 1.5" canvas

Available

An interview done by Dynasty Brush about my work can be read here on their blog.  Thanks so much to Karyn Meyer-Berthel, who did such a fantastic job in writing the article.  I paint with all kinds of tools. Mostly older brushes and rollers, rags, cardboard & etc. So when I was contacted about doing this post for a brush company....well, I laughed.  We proceeded with the interview and I later received some complimentary brushes from Dynasty.  I pulled the brushes out of their package with the intention of using them, but found that I quickly reverted to my usual tools. They were just in to good of shape to use!  I am happy to report that I have now used them in my last two paintings that I have posted. My favorite is the rounded Palmer brush, which is a short handled brush that fits in the palm of your hand.  I love the comfort, feel and the mobility that it gives me with the process of blending.

I will continue to experiment and post the results for you.....

Thanks for reading!!
