Acrylic on 9" x 12" paper
This painting has a lot of thick paint and actual texture. You can click on the image for a closer look. As with the majority of my abstract paintings I began this one without any preconceived idea. Many colors were being used which eventually lead to the gray and a scrapping through of the underlying colors giving it a 'scratch art' type of effect. Various tools including brush, palette knife and roller were used. When I get into one of these it seems like any object that is lying around might become a tool to be used. I finished it off with a gesturally line as I began to see the image emerge. If you are interested in this painting it can be purchased from my web gallery by clicking here... or contact me here.
