"Gestural Three" Abstract Expressionistic Painting by Elizabeth Chapman

Gestural Three

Abstract Expressionistic Painting
Watercolor/Gouache on 5" x 7" paper

These little paintings are very child like and so much fun!!  It can be more difficult than it appears in that you must allow yourself to go with the creative flow and ignore the critique within one.  Simply stated that means that when your painting and that next thought or idea pops into your head you go with it rather than stop to think it out.  Very intuitive.

Big day, our daughter Emma is flying in from L.A. We will be picking her up at the airport today and taking her to her favorite place to eat.  She has been living in L.A for three years now and from time to time we have the opportunity to spend some time together.  Cherished time.  There's also birthday shopping to go do this morning and we're taking care of Elsie's pug, Suki for a few days.  She is sooooo cute and her and Gigi have a great time together.
