Layers......of earth tone washes with white accents and color jewels.  This is a 2010 painting of mine, part of a series of tonal abstracts.  There are layers upon layers of acrylic washes creating a dimensional landscape.  It was once commented to me that it was reminiscent of Jerusalem.

I been VERY busy this week with our new daytime job babysitting our grand daughter Penelope.  The large canvases and paints arrived this week (pretty exciting!)... I've been pretty inspired and actually getting up early and I do mean early to paint. (4:00 a.m) I completed this earth tone painting this week and "Curtain Call" another one for the theatrical series.  If you spend some time looking at 'Thirds' you will see the vertical sections of thirds which are the most obvious, but upon closer observation you can see a foreground with shapes that appear as buildings, a middle ground of hills going into the distant sun lit sky.

Here we are shopping with our grand daughter Penelope!
Yes.. we are having a great time together..
