Santa Fe, New Mexico inspired expressionistic abstract painting! I've been excited about a new technique that I have been developing after having taken an workshop with Annie O'Brian Gonzalez. For some time I had been drawn to her use of patterns and color, so on a whim decided to take her workshop. Her paintings are mostly inspired from still life florals. My objective was not to come back home and paint like she does, but to incorporate what I was to learn into my own style. More new paintings to be posted soon!

This is really interesting! I love all the movement in it and the bold brushstrokes and colors. I don't know Gonzales's work -- I'll definitely check her out now.
