I am calling this one mixed media as it is a combination of watercolor and acrylic paint. However, it is mostly light layers of acrylics over the initial blocking in with watercolors. Gesturally drawing with a black watercolor pencil was also a part of the foundation. Later, as the painting progressed the pencil was dipped in water for a softer point and lines were pulled out, giving more definition. Love how a line can have various pressure points creating various values and in turn more interest.
A union created by the bringing together of various elements of line and color.
