Jazzie Blues

Feeling kinda blue today with the weather being so cold, cloudy and gloomy. Sat down and painted this purple iris this afternoon to kinda chase the blues away. I think it helped get into the colors and listen to some jazzie music while painting. I listened to Jeremy Larson's new CD "Salvation Club" three times while getting this one done!! Beautiful painting music!

I ended up here thanks to your wonderful daughter, and although I'm not that much into flowers, I think you are really good in painting them, it's amazing!!
It's also great to see how you found the courage to follow your heart, I'll keep following your steps and wish you all the best!

I found you through Elsie's blog and let me say you've done a wonderful job raising a very talented, giving, never tiring girl and I'd be proud if my Christina turned out to have half the good vibes Elsie has-what a fantastic, creative influence you must have/are been!
On another note, I love your paintings and how special you are able to paint every day! I really love the purple ones-thank you for sharing and I can't wait to see your next creation!
