All in the process.... and what a long one this one has been. This painting has gone through several phases beginning with the first one in January of 2012.  Click here to see that blog post.  I just was not totally satisfied with that painting. so in March it under went another change, to be seen here.  Still, it continued to tug on me and so I decided to make a few more adjustments .... and well ended up with a totally new painting!  But, it will keep the same title..."Intrigue".

And yes...it is finished!


Speaking of changes....we are very excited and happy for our daughter Emma who just became engaged the day after Christmas!!  I have opened a tab at the top of this page titled "Family" where you can read about and see pics of this special occasion.  Our kids got us iPads for Christmas and are encouraging us to join instant gram. So, there you go...a new years resolution to take and post more family photos.  My intention is to also share them with you!

Holiday...been taking a little break from work painting/posting/listing etc.., and enjoying the season with family.  Although, I will have to admit that it is difficult for me as I really love what I do.  Still, I am going to take a bit more time, cleaning and organize a few more things ...getting ready for 2013!

This is the ORIGINAL 2010 painting that is being sold.  An image of this work was sold and used for a poster promoting "The Haydn Concert at Christ Presbyterian Church"....Mass for Troubled Times by F.J.Haydn in Canton, Ohio / 2011

Layers......of earth tone washes with white accents and color jewels.  This is a 2010 painting of mine, part of a series of tonal abstracts.  There are layers upon layers of acrylic washes creating a dimensional landscape.  It was once commented to me that it was reminiscent of Jerusalem.

Summertime..... Not really, but it sure is feeling like it here in the Ozarks of Missouri.  This painting has always reminded me of a hayfield.  I have lived the majority of my life here in the Ozarks and have never seen hay being raked and baled in December.  A mild winter? we'll see!!

This is a beautiful painting, light with lots of surface texture and 1.5" depth sides which are painted white.  Ready to hang!  No framing required.  I have also placed it on my Year End Special, click here.
